I was born and raised in Marion, Ohio and now live in Ridgeland, South Carolina. I attended basic training at United States Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, GA. I spent a total of 22 years in the Army, 20 of which was active duty. I was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky (twice), Fort Wainwright, Ak, Fort Lewis (Joint base Lewis-McCord), Wa and Fort Stewart, GA. While stationed at Fort Lewis, I was part of the Army's first Stryker Brigade and deployed to Iraq twice (a total of 27 months) as part of Operation Iraqi freedom.
I retired from the Army in 2015 and immediately started college, at The Art Institute of Charleston (AIC), for graphic design. I spent my first year at AIC and then I transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the fall of 2016. I graduated and earned my BFA in graphic design, March 2020 from SCAD. I graduated and earned my MA in Visual Communication Design, May 2021 from Liberty University.
Most recently I spent 4 years teaching Digital Art and Design as well as traditional art. I loved being able to teach different areas of art and design to the future generation of designers but it was time to move on and focus more on my own artwork. I am Adobe certified in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
